LG LIP‐8012D Handset Quick User GuideTo make an external call ‐ Dial 9 followed by the number requiredTo make an internal call ‐ Dial extension number requiredLast number redial ‐ Press the LOG sot key then use the navigation keys to scroll through. Then choosethe soft key function you require SEND will dial the number SELECT will give theoption to DELETE, SAVE or go BACKTo answer a call ‐ Lift Handset or Press Speaker key for hands free functionalityTo pick up a call in your group ‐ Press the PICKUP soft key in idle stateTo pick up an out of group call ‐ Lift handset, dial 7 then the extension number you want to pick upTo hold a call ‐ Press the Hold/Save key and your call will hold for 30 seconds then ring backTo retrieve a held call ‐ Press the flashing line/loop keyTo transfer a call ‐ Announced – With caller on the phone, press Trans/PGM, then dial the extensionnumber, flex key or external number, once answered announce the call, and hangup to transfer. Un‐announced – With caller on the phone, press Trans/PGM, thendial the extension number, flex key or external number and hang up to transfer.If Busy/No Answer – Press Trans/PGM key to return to caller or flashingLine/Loop key if you have one.To set an internal call‐back orleave a message ‐Dial extension number, if engaged press CAMP‐ON soft button, and hang up fora call‐back or press MSG soft key to leave a voicemail message (only if user hasvoicemail set up)To park a call ‐ With the caller on the phone press Trans/PGM then 601 to 609 (there are 8default line numbers). This will hold the caller in the systemTo retrieve a parked call ‐ Dial the relevant park location number 601‐609To activate headset/handset ‐ Press Headset key, then 0 for Headset use or 1 for Handset use then Hold/SaveTo activate do not disturb ‐ Press DND key ‐ Internal callers will get “Do Not Disturb” on their display andyour phone will not ring. Press DND again to turn offTo divert your calls ‐ Press right navigation key to change soft key functions, then press FWD soft key.The screen will then display the different types of forward available, using yourdown navigation key scroll until the desired forward is highlighted (1‐5) using theOK soft key or SELECT key in the centre of the navigation keys.You must now enter the location you want to divert to ‐ for an extension or groupjust key in the 3 digit number ‐ for a number from your speed dial list press SPEEDsoft key & dial short code ‐ for a number that is not saved dial 9 then the fullnumber & press Hold/Save. Your forward will be displayed on the screen.To cancel your divert ‐ Press Speaker Key, then FWD soft key & then #To add a personal speed dial ‐ Press DIR soft key – private directory will be highlighted in the display, press theSPEED soft key followed by the ADD soft key, enter an available short number01‐19, then Key 9 + the telephone number followed by Hold/Save. Next enter theName using the numbers on the keypad e.g. if an F is required, Key 3 with F on it3 times, K would be 5 twice & to insert a space press the Vol key (max 12characters) Press Hold/Save again.You can move the cursor using the Vol key & delete by pressing DNDTo dial a personal speed dial ‐ Press DIR soft key – private directory will be highlighted in the display, press theSELECT key in the centre of navigation keys. Saved numbers will be displayed &you then scroll through using the Volume or Navigation keys & SEND to dialTo dial a system speed dial ‐ Press DIR soft key then use Down Navigation key to highlight Public Directorythen press SPEED soft key followed by short code for number required (for dial byname see additional functions guide for more detailed instructions)To change display contrast ‐ With the handset down use the Vol / Vol to select shadeTo change ring type ‐ Press Trans/PGM & 11 for Internal tones or 12 for External tones.
