11ENGLISHUsing the Blender4. To turn off the CRUSH ICE featurepress OFF. The Blender is now ready forcontinuous operation.5. Before removing the pitcher or accessoryjar assembly, unplug the power cord.PULSE MODEYour KitchenAid® Blender offers PULSEMODE, which allows a “Pulse-at-anySpeed” feature.NOTE: PULSE MODE will not work withthe CRUSH ICE feature.1. Before operating the Blender, makesure the pitcher or accessory jarassembly is properly positioned on theBlender base.NOTE: If a gap exists between thelocking collar and the base, the pitcheror accessory jar might not be lockedinto the locking collar or the collar is notpositioned properly on the Blender base.See Blender Assembly on page 8 forfurther instructions.2. Put ingredients into pitcher oraccessory jar, and firmly attach lid.3. Press PULSE MODE. The indicator light onthe button will blink to indicate that allfive speeds are in the PULSE MODE.4. Select a speed button. Press and holdfor the desired length of time. Boththe speed button and PULSE MODEindicators will stay lit when pulsingat the selected speed. When buttonis released, the blending will stop,but the Blender will remain in PULSEMODE and the PULSE MODE indicatorwill return to blinking. To pulse againor at another speed, simply press andhold the button of the desired speed.5. To turn off the PULSE MODE feature,press OFF. The Blender is now ready forcontinuous operation.6. Before removing the pitcher oraccessory jar assembly, unplug thepower cord.Ingredient CupThe 2 oz. (60 ml)ingredient cup can beused to measure and addingredients to both thepitcher and the accessory jar. Remove cupand add ingredients at STIR, CHOP or MIXspeeds. When operating at higher speeds,with a full pitcher or with hot contents,stop the Blender and then add ingredients.Drizzle Cap (Model KSB755)This versatile cap fits intoboth the pitcher andaccessory jar lid and isused to drizzle oils orother liquids while theblender is in operation.Soft Start® Blending FeatureThe Soft Start® blending featureautomatically starts the Blender at a slowerspeed to pull ingredients into the bladethen quickly increases to selected speedsetting for optimal performance.NOTE: The Soft Start® blending featureonly works when a speed is selected fromthe OFF mode and does not work with thePULSE MODE or CRUSH ICE features.
