BLENDER SERVICE MANUAL6BLENDER SERVICEPROCEDURESSafety: Before starting any service procedure,review the Safety Guidelines in the front of thismanual.Perform any Blender disassembly on a cleansurface and provide a cushion for the Power Baseto avoid scratching the surface of the product.Unplug blender or disconnect power before servicing.Power Base Access: To access the Power Base,remove the four Rubber Feet at the bottom of thePower Base. Then remove the four Phillips headscrews with a clean, medium-sized Phillipsscrewdriver.Figure 3If any of the Rubber Feet are heavily soiled orcracked, you should replace all four of them.When replacing or installing the Rubber Feet, makesure that they are all inserted equally into the Baseso that the Blender will sit level on the worksurface.Power Cord Replacement: Always be sure toinspect the condition of the Blender’s Power Cordbefore running the unit.Replace the Power Cord when heavily soiled, cutor damaged in any way.Once the four screws at the bottom of the PowerBase are removed, the top and bottom of the Basecan be easily separated for Power Cord andcomponent inspection.Figure 4Note the orientation of the Power Cord in the topand bottom parts of the Base so that the properorientation can be repeated when installing the newCord assembly.The Power Cord AC leads are contained within ablack clip that can be removed from the ElectronicSpeed Control Board with needle nose pliers.WARNINGElectrical Shock HazardDisconnect power before servicing.Failure to do so can result in death orelectrical shock.Replace all parts and panels before operating.
