4Assembling Your Hand Blender1. Before using the KitchenAid™ HandBlender for the first time, wipe themotor body with a clean, damp cloth toremove any dirt or dust. Mild dish soapmay be used, but do not use abrasivecleansers.NOTE: Do not immerse the motor body inwater.Dry with a soft cloth. Wash theattachment by hand or in the dishwasher.Dry thoroughly.NOTE: Always be sure to unplug thepower cord from the wall socket beforeattaching or removing attachment.2. Remove the attachment by pressingboth ejector buttons on either side ofthe body.3. Read Operating Tips (page 5).Operating Your Hand BlenderUsing the Blending Attachment1. Insert the blending attachment into themotor body.2. Plug the electrical cord into anelectrical wall socket.3. Adjust the speed by turning the speedcontrol dial on top of the HandBlender.4. Insert the Hand Blender into themixture.NOTE: Hand Blender should only beimmersed in liquids the length of theattachment. Do not submerge beyondthe seam of the blending attachment.Do not immerse the motor body intoliquids or other mixtures.5. Press the power button to activate theHand Blender.6. When blending is complete, releasethe power button before removingHand Blender from the mixture.7. Unplug immediately after use, beforeremoving attachment.
