InterconnectingCAUTION: Kidde (Fyrnetics/Lifesaver/Kidde/Nighthawk/Pyrene)alarms and accessories can only be interconnected with otherKidde alarms and accessories. Connection of these devices toanother manufactures interconnect system, or connection withequipment from another manufacturer into an existing Kiddeinterconnect system could result in nuisance alarming, failure toalarm, or damage to one or all of the devices in the interconnectsystem.• When compatible Kidde smoke alarms and heat alarms areinterconnected to your CO alarm, they will only respond to a smokeor heat related event.• When mixing Kidde alarms which have battery back-up with modelswithout battery back-up, be advised that the models without batteryback-up will not function during an AC power failure.• For alarms that are being used as single station alarms, do notconnect the red wire to anything. Leave the red wire insulating cap inplace to make certain that the red wire cannot contact any metalparts or the electrical box.• The appropriate power source is 120 Volt AC Single-Phase suppliedfrom a non-switchable circuit, which is not protected by a groundfault interrupter.• All interconnectable alarms should be installed on a UL-listed orrecognized junction box. All connections should be made by aqualified electrician and must conform to article 760 of the U.S.National Electrical Code, NFPA 72 and/or any other codes havingjurisdiction in your area.• When alarms are interconnected, all interconnected units must bepowered from a single circuit.• A maximum of 24 Kidde devices may be interconnected in a multiple-station arrangement.
