Ionisation sensing alarms may detect invisible fireparticles (associated with fast flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms.Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible fire particles (associated with slow smoul-dering fires) sooner than ionisation alarms. Home fires develop in different ways and areoften unpredictable. For maximum protection, Kidde recommends that both Ionisation andPhotoelectric alarms be installed.Heat alarms are useful in areas withcondensation/dust/high humidity, such as kitchens and lofts.
