Keysight PCIe Host Desktop Adapter Installation Guide 23Connecting a PC to a PXIe or AXIe ChassisConnecting a PC to a PXIe or AXIe ChassisThe following examples show a few of the possible configurations between a PC(both PXIe embedded PC and an external PC) and a PXIe or AXIe chassis. Manyother configurations are possible. Keysight provides a Multi-Chassis Designer tohelp you understand and design multi-chassis systems. A PXIe chassisrequires a System Module or Cable Interface Module such as the KeysightM9021A. An AXIe chassis does not require a system module interface, because acable port is included in the ESM half height module. This configuration has Gen2 speed.Figure 8 Basic external PC system configuration
