If your KCA-20FM was shippedto you directly, notify your shipper immediately.Safety precautionsCautionTake the following precautions to keep the unit in properworking order:• Be sure the unit is connected to a 12V DC power supplywith a negative ground connection.• Do not open the unit.• Do not install the unit where it will be exposed to highlevels of humidity, moisture, or dust.• When replacing a fuse, use only a new one with theproper rating. Using a fuse with the wrongrating may cause the unit to malfunction.• To prevent a short circuit when replacing a fuse, firstdeactivate the unit by flipping the toggle switch to theOFF position (see page 4).• When drilling holes to mount the unit, make sure not todamage wiring or other systems on the other side.• This equipment may generate or use radio frequencyenergy. Changes or modifications to this equipmentmay cause harmful interference unless they areexpressly approved in the instruction manual.
