St®p IProvide Adequate Gas SupplyYour range is designed to operate at a pressure of4" of water column on natural gas or, if designed forLP gas (propane or butane), 10" of water column.Make sure you are supplying your range with the typeof gas for which it is designed This range is convert-ible for use on natural or propane gas, if you decide touse this range on a different type of gas, conversionadjustments must be made by a service technician orother qualified person before attempting to operatethe range on that gas.For proper operation, the pressure of natural gas sup-plied to the regulator must be between 4" and 13" ofwater column. For LP gas, the pressure supplied mustbe between 10" and 13" of water column. Whenchecking for proper operation of the regulator, the inletpressure must be at least 1" greater than the operat-ing (manifold) pressure as given above The pressureregulator located at the inlet of the range manifoldmust remain in the supply line regardless of whethernatural or LP gas is being used.. A flexible metal appli-ance connector used to connect the range to the gassupply line should have an 1..D.of 1/2" and be 5 feet inlength for ease of instatlation.2Connect the Range to GasShut off the main gas supply valve before disconnect-ing the old range and leave it off until new hook-uphas been completed. Don't forget to relight thepilot on other gas appliances when you turn the gasback on.Because hard piping restricts movement of the range, the use of an AG.A.-certified flexible metal applianceconnector is recommended unless local codes requirea hard-piped connection. Never use an old connectorwhen installing a new range.. If the hard piping methodis used, you must carefully align the pipe; the rangecannot be moved after the connection is made.To prevent gas leaks, put pipe joint compound on, orwrap pipe thread tape with Teflon* around, all male(external) pipe threads.*Teflon: Registered trademark of DuPontGas Pipe and Electric Outlet Locations forModels Equipped with Sealed BurnersThis area allowsfor flush rangeinstallation withthrough-the-waltconnection of pipestub/shut-off valveand rear wallI20V outlet.Shortest con-nectionI from hard pipestub location to[ range hookupThis area allows forflush range installationwith through-the-floorconnection of pipestub/shut*off valve.Gas Pipe and ERectric OutEet Locations forModels Equipped with Dual BurnersThis area allowsfor flush rangeinstallation withthrough-the*wallconnection of pipestub/shut-off valveand rear wall120V outietShortestconnectionfrom hard pipestub location torange hookup,This area allowsfor flush rangeinstallation withthrough-the-floorconnection of pipestub/shut-off valve(continued next page)5
