Card Connections & Installation3-5Wiring procedurePerform the following procedure to wire circuitry to thescrew terminal connector card:WARNINGMake sure all power is off and that anystored energy in external circuitry is dis-charged.1. If mated together, separate the connector card from therelay card by removing the mounting screw and pullingthe two cards away from each other. Remember to han-dle the cards only by the edges and shields to avoid con-tamination.2. Using an insulated screwdriver, connect the circuitry tothe appropriate terminals. Figure 3-6 shows how the out-put of Bank A would be connected to a DMM.3. Referring to Figure 3-7, remove the top half of the cableclamp as follows:A. Loosen the cable clamp screw enough to disengageit from the bottom half of the cable clamp.B. Using your thumb and forefinger, press the retainingclips inward and, with your other hand, remove thetop half of the clamp.4. Route wires under wire guide/connector shim.5. Route the wires through the bottom half of the cableclamp.6. Replace the top half of the clamp. It simply snaps ontothe bottom half of the clamp. Tighten the cable clampscrew. The clamp serves as a strain relief for terminalblock wires.7. Mate the connector card to the relay card. The Model7015 is now ready to be installed in the Model 7001 orModel 7002 mainframe.
