If the cord becomes damaged during use, disconnect the cord from thesupply immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING THESUPPLY. Do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged or worn. Keep extension cordaway from cutting elements.MAINTENANCEWarning: Before performing any maintenance or cleaning work, Always pull outthe mains plug!Do not spray the unit with water. Ingress of water may destroy the Switch-plug combinationunit and the electric motor. Clean the unit with a cloth, hand brush, etc.Expert inspection is required, do not make any adjustment by yourself, must contactthe customer service centre if:1. The lawn mower strikes an object.2. The motor stops suddenly3. The blade is bent (do not align!)4. The motor shaft is bent (do not align!)5. A short-circuit occurs when the cable is connected.6. The gears are damaged.7. The V-belt is defective.Always Use only manufacturer’s recommended replacement parts and accessories.WARNING: Periodically inspect the blade adapter for cracks, especially ifyou strike a foreign object. Replace if necessary.For best results your blade should be sharp. The blade may be sharpened by removing itand either grinding or filing the cutting edge, keeping as close to the original bevel aspossible. It is extremely important that each cutting edge receives an equal amount ofgrinding to prevent an unbalanced blade. Improper blade balance will result in excessivevibration causing eventual damage to the engine and the mower. Be sure to carefully balanceblade after sharpening. The blade can be tested for balance by balancing it on a round shaftscrewdriver. Remove metal from the heavy side until it balances evenly.Before reassembling the blade and the blade adapter to the unit, lubricate the enginecrankshaft and the inner surface of the blade adapter with light oil. Install the blade adapteron the crankshaft. Refer 12. Place the blade with the part number facing away from theadapter. Align the washer over the blade and insert the hex bolt. Tighten the hex bolt to thetorque listed below:BLADE MOUNTING TORQUE: Center Bolt 40Nm. min, 50Nm. max. To insure safeoperation of your unit. All nuts and bolts must be checked periodically for correcttightness. After prolonged use, especially in sandy soil conditions, the blade will become |
