– 11STEP 3: Connect the KÄRCHER power cord toan electricity source and turn on at pow-erpoint. Make sure the high pressurenozzle is not connected and turn theunit on at the ON/OFF switch. Press thetrigger on the gun - the unit is ready foruse once there is a constant water sys-tem.STEP 4: Connect the high pressure nozzle andpress the hand trigger to begin clean-ing.CautionDry runs lasting longer than two minuteslead to damages to the high pressurepump. If the appliance does not build uppressure within two minutes, switch it offand proceed as instructed in the Chapter"Troubleshooting". IllustrationPush the spray lance into the triggergun and fasten it by turning it through90°. IllustrationUnwind the high pressure hose from thehose drum. Hold on to the transporthandle during this procedure.Note: If the hand crank is in its securedposition, fold it up first. Completely open the water tap. Insert the mains plug into the socket. Turn on the appliance “I/ON”. DangerThe trigger gun is subjected to a recoil forcewhen the water jet is discharged. Makesure that you have a firm footing and arealso holding the trigger gun and spray lancefirmly.CautionPrior to cleaning, make sure that the highpressure is placed safely on level ground.Wear protective goggles and protectiveclothing during the cleaning process. Unlock the lever on the trigger gun. Pull on the lever of the trigger gun; thedevice will switch on.Note: Release the lever of the trigger gun;the device will switch off again. High pres-sure remains in the system.Carrying out the most common cleaningtasks.
