– 4Use the extension cord that has an ade-quate cross-section (see "Technical Data")and unwind it fully from the cable drum.Unsuitable extension cables can be haz-ardous. Only use extension cables out-doors which have been approved for thispurpose and labelled with a sufficient cablecross section:For connection values, see type plate/tech-nical data. WarningObserve regulations of water supplier.According to the applicable regula-tions, the appliance must never beused on the drinking water supplywithout a system separator. Use asuitable system separator manufactured byKÄRCHER; or, as an alternative, a systemseparator as per EN 12729 Type BA. Waterflowing through a system separator is con-sidered non-drinkable.CautionAlways connect the system separator tothe water supply, never directly to the appli-ance!For connection values refer to technicalspecifications Connect the supply hose (minimumlength 7.5 m, minimum diameter 3/4“) tothe water connection point of the ma-chine and at the water supply point (fore.g. a tap).NoteThe supply hose is not included. Open the water supply. Screw the suction hose with filter (orderno. 4.440-238.0) to the water connection. Deaerate the appliance:Unscrew the nozzle.Switch on the appliance and let it rununtil the water exiting is bubble-free.At the end let the appliance run for ap-prox. 10 seconds - then switch off.Repeat the procedure for a couple oftimes. Switch off the appliance and fit the noz-zle again. DangerRisk of explosion!Do not spray flammable liquids.If the appliance is used in hazardous areas(e.g. filling stations) the correspondingsafety provisions must be observed.Risk of injury! Never use the appliancewithout the spray lance attached. Checkand ensure proper fitting of the spray lanceprior to each use. The screw connection ofthe spray lance must be fingertight.CautionClean engines only at places with corre-sponding oil separators (environmentalsafety).Risk of blocking. Place the nozzles in theaccessory compartment with their jointpointing upward.NoteThe appliance is equipped with a pressureswitch.
