Replenish engine oil to upper level.2. Drain gasoline from fuel tank, fuel line, fuel valveand carburetor.. Pour about one teaspoon of engine oil throughthe spark plug hole, pull the starter grip severaltimes and replace the plug. Then pull the startergrip slowly until you feel increased pressure whichindicates the piston is on its compression stroke andleave it in that position. This closes both the intakeand exhaust valves to prevent rusting of cylinder.4. Cover the pressure washer and store in a clean, dryplace that is well ventilated away from open flameor sparks. NOTE: The use of a fuel additive, suchas STA-BIL®, or an equivalent, will minimize theformulation of fuel deposits during shortage. Suchadditives may be added to the gasoline in the fueltank of the engine, or to the gasolinee in a storagecontainer. After Extended StorageCAUTION: Prior to restarting, thaw out any pos-sible ice from pressure washer hoses, spray gunor wand.Engine MaintenanceDuring the winter months, rare atmoshericconditions may develop which will cause anicing condition in the carburetor. If this develops, theengine may run rough, lose power and may stall. Thistemporary condition can be overcome by deflecting someof the hot air from the engine over the carburetor area.NOTE: Refer to the engine manufacturer's manual forservice and maintenance of the engine.STORAGEOn-OffSwitchPumpWater InletPumpDischargeNippleSafetyLatchGardenHose
