– 16 –RecordingRecording a Tape on Deck BOn the unit ONLY:1 Press EJECT 0 for the deck B.2 Put in a recordable cassette, with the exposedpart of the tape down.3 Close the cassette holder gently.4 Start playing the source — FM, AM, CDplayer or auxiliary equipment connected toAUX IN jacks.• When you dub tapes, see page 17.• When the source is CD, you can also use CD SynchroRecording (see “CD Synchro Recording” on page 17.)5 Start recording.Press REC START/STOP.The REC (recording) indicator lights up onthe display and recording starts.To stop during recording, press REC START/STOP againor 7.To remove the cassette, press EJECT 0 for deck B.IMPORTANT:• It should be noted that it may be unlawful to re-recordpre-recorded tapes, records, or discs without theconsent of the owner of copyright in the sound or videorecording, broadcast or cable programme and in anyliterary, dramatic, musical, or artistic embodiedtherein.• The recording level is automatically set correctly, so it isnot affected by the VOLUME control and theSUBWOOFER LEVEL control. Thus, during recordingyou can adjust the sound you are actually listening towithout affecting the recording level.• While recording, you can hear sound modes through thespeakers or headphones. However, the sound is recordedwithout these effects (see page 10).• If recordings you have made have excessive noise or static,the unit may be too close to a TV.
