c DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW andDVD-RAM can be used to record on yourDR-MV80B.For recommended recordable DVD discs, pleaserefer to page 3 in your owner’s manual.When your DR-MV80B is first turned on, it will flash"Hello" as the internal EPROM chip is updated withinformation.c Please wait until "Hello" stops flashing before youattempt to use the remote control or front panelbuttons. It takes 25-30 seconds until the setcan be operated when a disc is on the tray.Your DR-MV80B has a progressive scan feature.This feature only works with a TV that accepts a pro-gressive scan signal.c If the picture is distorted, press OUTPUTSTATUS button and select 480i.c If the picture is distorted, press OUTPUT STATUSrepeatedly until the picture appears normally tochange the resolution setting.There is no signal output from COMPONENT OUTwhen HDMI is connected and 720p/1080i/1080p isselected at OUTPUT STATUS.c Press OUTPUT STATUS button and select either480i or 480p in order to watch the video signalfrom COMPONENT OUT.c You must "Finalize" the DVD before it can play inanother DVD player.Please see page 18 in your owner’s manual.c This unit doesn’t have an Auto Clock Setting. Youwill need to manually set your clock as shown onpage 14 of your owner’s manual under the InitialSetup Wizard. You can also look on page 15 ofyour owner’s manual and follow the directions forClock Set.You need to connect an external tuner such asCable/Satellite box.
