18ENGLISHTeletext functionBasic operation1 Choose a TV channel with a teletext broadcast2 Make sure to set the VCR/TV/DVD switch to theTV position.3 Press gggg (Text) button to display the teletextPressing g (Text) button changes the mode as follows:4 Choose a teletext page by pressing the pppp ppppbuttons, Number buttons or Colour buttonsTo return to the TV mode:Press the b button or g (Text) button.• If you have trouble receiving teletext broadcasts,consult your local dealer or the teletext station.• The ZOOM function will not operate in the TV andtext mode or Text mode.• No menu operations are possible when viewing ateletext programme.• Language display depends on the country which wasset on the TELETEXT LANGUAGE menu. Ifcharacters on a Teletext programme do not appearproperly, change the TELETEXT LANGUAGESetting to other country’s. For detail, “Changing theTELETEXT LANGUAGE setting” on page 32.When viewing a teletext programme, the textperiodically moves a little at a time towards either thetop or bottom of the screen. This is to prevent burn-inand is not a malfunction.Using the List ModeYou can store the numbers of your favourite teletext pagesin memory and call them up quickly using the colourbuttons. To store the page numbers:1 Press BBBB button to engage the List modeThe stored page numbers are displayed at the bottom ofthe screen.2 Press a Colour button to choose a position.Then press the Number buttons to enter thepage number3 Press and hold down AAAA (Store) buttonThe four page numbers blink white to indicate that theyare stored in memory.
