9Charging the Battery1 Load the battery.~ Slide the port/slotcover latch in thedirection indicated.Ÿ Slide and open thecover in the directionindicated while holdingdown the latch.! Insert the battery in thecorrect direction (+/–)while pulling the bluelever to the left.2 Charge the battery.~ Connect the USB cable.Ÿ Press < or > to select"Adapter", and pressSET.• The Access LED lightsduring charging.• The approximate chargingtimes are 5 hours (whenconnected to a PC) and 2.3hours (when connected tothe AC adapter).• Be sure to use an ACadapter manufacturedby JVC (AC-V17LU, soldseparately).• Do not use batteries or ACadapters made by othermanufacturers.The Access LED turns off whencharging is complete.
