ENGLISH54TroubleshootingWhat appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a servicecenter.Symptoms Remedies/CausesGeneral• No sound comes out of the center speaker. Center speaker is used only for surround playback. No soundcomes out for stereo playback.• No sound comes out of the subwoofer whileplaying in stereo.This happens while playing some discs with “Auto” selectedfor “Surround On” ( pages 21 and 46). Cancel surround.• Remote controller does not work. Deactivate Dual Zone ( page 24).(While Dual Zone is activated, the remote controller onlyfunctions for operating the DVD/CD player.)• The monitor is not clear and legible forwatching the playback picture.Sunshine from the windshield may cause this symptom.Adjust “Bright” and “Contrast” of “Screen Control.” (page 41).• “Position Error Push Open Key” appears on themonitor.The monitor panel angle has been forcibly adjusted, orinterrupted while opening or closing. Press OPEN/CLOSE.• “Mecha Error Push Reset” appears on themonitor, and the panel does not move.Reset the unit ( page 2).• “SD Loading Error” appears on the monitor. SD is not inserted fully. Fully insert it into the slot to closethe monitor panel.• The unit does not work at all. Reset the unit ( page 2).FM/AM • SSM automatic presetting does not work. Store stations manually.• Static noise while listening to the radio. Connect the antenna firmly.Disc playback• Disc can be neither recognized nor played . Eject the disc forcibly ( page 2).• Disc cannot be ejected. Unlock the disc ( page 17).• Recordable/Rewritable discs cannot be playedback.• Tracks on the Recordable/Rewritable discscannot be skipped.• Insert a finalized disc.• Finalize the discs with the component which you used forrecording.• “Disc Error Please Eject” appears on themonitor.Insert the disc correctly again.• “Eject Error” or “Loading Error” appears on themonitor.Changing the source by pressing SOURCE will solve thiserror.• Sound and pictures are sometimes interruptedor distorted.• Stop playback while driving on rough roads.• Change the disc.• No playback picture appears on the monitor.
