Rev. 8/14Diamond Series QUICK START GUIDEIMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATIONThe lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence ofuninsulated dangerous voltage with the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk ofelectric shock.The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operatingand maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.• Read and follow all these instructions.• Heed all warnings.• Do not use this device near water.• Clean only with dry cloth.• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with manufacturer’sinstructions.• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, orother heat-generation devices.• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. Apolarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-typeplug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the thirdprong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into youroutlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs,convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the device.• Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.• Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified bythe manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used,use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoidinjury from tip-over.• Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods oftime.• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when theapparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug isdamaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, theapparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, orhas been dropped.• Apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and objects filled withliquids, such as vases, should not be placed on the apparatus.• An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overheadpower lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into suchpower lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme careshould be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits, as contactwith them might be fatal.• Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords, as this can result in a risk or fireor electric shock.• Do not push objects through any openings in this unit as they may touchdangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in fire or electricshock. Never spill or spray any type of liquid into the unit.• If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the unit, be sure heantenna or cable system is grounded to provide some protection against voltagesurges and built-up static charges, Section 810 of the National Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with respect to proper grounding practices• When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician usesreplacement parts specified by the manufacturer or those that have the samecharacteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire,electric shock, or other hazards.• Upon completion of any service or repairs to this unit, ask the service technicianto perform safety checks to determine that the unit is in proper operatingcondition.• When you connect the product to other equipment, turn off the power andunplug all of the equipment from the wall outlet.• Sudden high volume sound may cause hearing or speaker damage. When youuse headphones (if the unit is equipped with a headphone jack), keep the volumeat a moderate level. |
