The Recording Menu appears.3 ACCESS DATE/TIME MENUMove the pointer and highlight bar to “TODATE/TIME MENU” by rotating the Select Dial.Press the Select Dial and the Date/Time Menuappears.4 INPUT DATE AND TIMEMove the pointer and highlight bar to “DATE/TIME” by rotating the Select Dial. Press theSelect Dial and “day” is highlighted and beginsblinking.Rotating the Select Dial (rotate it upward toincrease and downward to decrease), input theday. Press the Select Dial. Repeat the procedureto input the month, year, hour and minute.•Press the Select Dial twice when the pointerand highlight bar are set to “RETURN” to exit.LCD monitorMENU buttonRecording MenuDate/Time MenuLock buttonPower DialPower lampSelect DialRegarding Built-in Rechargeable BatteryTo store the date/time in memory, a rechargeableclock lithium battery is integrated in the camcorder.While the camcorder is connected to an AC outletusing the AC Power Adapter/Charger, or while thebattery pack installed in the camcorder continues tosupply power to the camcorder, the clock lithiumbattery is always charged. However, if thecamcorder is not used for approx. 3 months, theclock lithium battery will become discharged andthe date/time stored in memory will be lost. Whenthis occurs, first connect the camcorder to an ACoutlet using the AC Power Adapter/Charger etc. forover 24 hours to charge the clock lithium battery.Then perform the date/time setting before using thecamcorder.It is also possible to use the camcorder without thedate/time setting.NOTE:If you don’t exit the Date/Time Menu, the clockdisplay will not move but the camcorder’s internalclock continues to operate. Once you close themenu, the date and time begin operation from thecurrent date and time, with no delay or loss.
