Media may notcontain magnetic particles (e.g. metal chips).• Use only type M25 floats.• The float must be installed with the “TOP”marking at the top.• Observe maximum temperature and pressureratings.• Do not allow to tilt during installation! Centre-to-centre distance and squareness of theflanges or threaded connectors should bechecked before installation.• Observe correct installation order for sealingrings (see drawing next page).Functional Principle:The MAGTOP G5 level gauge with magnetic flags ismounted to the side of a vessel or a tank. The gauge isfilled with liquid media to the same level as the tank via twoshut-off valves.A magnetic float is located within the standpipe which isused to actuate a magnetic flag indicator. As the fill level rises, the flags are rotated to display redinstead of yellow. The current fill-level is thus displayed asa red column.MAGTOP Snap _U bistable switches can be attached to aseparate mounting fixture. These are also actuated by themagnetic float.Technical DataStandpipe Stainless steel, 33.7 x 2.0 mmFloat type Polypropylene (PP), type M25Fittings Nickel plated brassSeals Silicon rubberOperating temperature 0 to + 110° C (115° C intermittent)Operating overpressure see diagramLength (flange centre-to-centre)600 to 5000 mmMounting Flange, DIN 2642 DN 25 PN, steeleither DN20 PN10, steelorthreaded connector: G½" or G1"Discharge stopcock Brass, integrated into the bottomshut-off valveTrack for magnetic flags Aluminium with Plexiglas faceMounting fixture forMAGTOP Snap ....bistable switchesAluminiumThe max. pressure depends on the stability of theconnection tubes of the tank. Tubes with small diameter ora tank with thin material thickness causes the increment ofthe centre-to-centre clearance. At maximum pressure the centre-to-centre clearanceshould not increase more than 2 mms. |
