English – 17MaintenanceCleaningClean the machine directly after use. It is much easier to washoff grass cuttings before they dry.Oily dirt can be removed using a cold degreasing agent.Spray on a thin layer.Rinse at normal water pressure.Do not direct the jet towards electrical components orbearings.Do not rinse hot surfaces such as the engine and exhaustsystem.It is recommended that you start the engine and run themower for a short period after cleaning, so that any remainingwater is blown off.Lubricate the machine if necessary after cleaning. Carry outextra lubrication when the bearings have been exposed to adegreaser or a water jet.Removing of the machine hoodsEngine coverThe engine becomes accessible for service when the enginecover is opened.Fold the seat forward, loosen the snap lock under the seatand fold the cover backwards.Front coverRelease the clip on the front hood and lift off the fender.Right-hand fenderRemove the accelerator knob (1), screws (2 and 3), andremove the cover.Left-hand fenderLoosen the screws holding the wing cover and lift off thecover.Checking and adjusting the steeringwiresThe steering is controlled by means of wires.These can in time become slack, which implies that theadjustment of the steering becomes altered.Check and adjust the steering as follows:1 Remove the frame plate by loosening the two screws.2 Check the tension of the steering wires by squeezingthem together by the arrows as illustrated. It should bepossible to push them together so that the distancebetween them is half as much, without using unnecessaryforce.IMPORTANT INFORMATION Always park the machine ona level surface with the engine OFF before performing anymaintenance.IMPORTANT INFORMATION Avoid using a high pressurewasher or a steam cleaner. There is a major risk of waterpenetrating into bearings and electrical connections.Corrosion attack can result, which will lead to runningproblems.
