QN 4021 / QN 4039 t9Description of the microwave ovenTurntable and turntable supportThe turntable and turntable supportshould be installed as shown in the dia-gram. Take care to ensure the turntablesupport is properly in place.The turntable may turn clockwise or coun-terclockwise during operation. Do not rotatethe turntable manually, as you coulddamage the drive system.Accessories1 Cooking compartment2 Viewing window3 Oven door4 Door catch5 Safety interlock system6 Control panel7 Door open button8 Drive shaft for turntableQN 4021 / QN 4039 t8Installation• When you unpack the oven, checkthat the product is free from damage.Damage or any missing parts must bereported immediately to the retailer.The oven, parts of the oven or theaccessories may be wrapped by a pro-tection foil. If so, you must remove thisfoil before using the oven. Do not leavepacking material so that small childrencan play with it. This can be hazardous.• Do not use your appliance immediately(wait approx. 1-2 hours) after transferfrom a cold place to a warm place ascondensation may cause a malfunction.• This oven can be used as a free stan-ding oven or built-in using the kit avail-able with the oven. To install the oven ina kitchen cabinet follow the instructionssupplied with the building-in kit. Theoven should be in-stalled on a flat, levelsurface at least 85 cm above floor level.The surface must be strong enough tosafely bear the weight of the oven, andthe contents. To avoid the possibility ofcausing vibration or noise, the oven mustbe in a stable position.• Be sure to install the oven away fromheat and water sources.• Do not block air vents on the top andthe sides of the cabinet nor place anyarticles on the top of the oven. A gap allaround the oven is necessary : 20 cmabove the oven and any objects, 5 cmon the sidesand 10 cmbehind theoven. If airvents areb l o c k e dduring ope-ration, the oven may overheat, and thismay lead to malfunctioning.• This oven does conform to EEC require-ments* of radio interference suppression,but some interference may occur if it isplaced too close to a radio or TV, sokeep them as far apart as possible.• To install the appliance in a kitchencabinet, use the appropriate mountingframe, kit number EBR/BF 517 or 617for model QN 4021 or kit numberEBR/BF 624 for model QN 4039. Whenbuilding into a high cabinet, you mayuse the liftdoor. Note the relevant infor-mation for installation and connectiongiven in the operating instructions.Attention ! Never operate the micro-wave oven with the lift door closed.Such operation would damage yourappliance and invalidate the guarantee.Electical connections• The oven is delivered with the powercord and a plug for 230-240 V, 50Hz,earthed socket outlet.• Earth protection minimizes the risksshould a short-circuit occur. Check toensure the voltage of the oven matchesthe supply. N.B.
