Use the induction cooking zones withsuitable cookware.• The bottom of the cookware must beas thick and flat as possible.• Ensure pan bases are clean and drybefore placing on the hob surface.• In order to avoid scratches, do notslide or rub the pot across the ceramicglass.Cookware material• correct: cast iron, steel, enamelledsteel, stainless steel, multi-layerbottom (with a correct marking from amanufacturer).• not correct: aluminium, copper,brass, glass, ceramic, porcelain.Cookware is suitable for an inductionhob if:• water boils very quickly on a zone setto the highest heat setting.• a magnet pulls on to the bottom of thecookware.Cookware dimensions• Induction cooking zones adapt to thedimension of the bottom of thecookware automatically.• The cooking zone efficiency is relatedto the diameter of the cookware. Thecookware with a diameter smallerthan the minimum receives only a partof the power generated by thecooking zone.Refer to "Technical data".6.2 The noises duringoperationIf you can hear:• crack noise: cookware is made ofdifferent materials (a sandwichconstruction).• whistle sound: you use a cookingzone with a high power level and thecookware is made of differentmaterials (a sandwich construction).• humming: you use a high power level.• clicking: electric switching occurs.• hissing, buzzing: the fan operates.The noises are normal and do notindicate any malfunction.6.3 Öko Timer (Eco Timer)To save energy, the heater of thecooking zone deactivates before thecount down timer sounds. The differencein the operation time depends on theheat setting level and the length of thecooking operation.6.4 Examples of cookingapplicationsThe correlation between the heat settingof a zone and its consumption of poweris not linear. When you increase the heatsetting, it is not proportional to theincrease of the consumption of power.
