Protective coversMissing or damaged protective covers increase therisk of injury on moving parts and hot surfaces. Doa check of the protective covers before you operatethe product. Make sure that the protective covers arecorrectly attached and do not have cracks or otherdamages. Replace damaged covers.Fuel safetyWARNING: Read the warninginstructions that follow before you usethe product.WARNING: Be careful with fuel. Itis very flammable, and can cause injuryand damage to property.• Extinguish all cigarettes, cigars, pipes and othersources of ignition.• Use only an approved fuel container.• Do not remove fuel cap or add fuel with theengine running or while hot.• Do not refuel indoors or in enclosed spaces.• After refueling, replace the gas cap and tightensecurely.• Do not store the product or fuel container, orrefuel, where there is an open flame, spark, orpilot light such as on a water heater or otherappliance.• If you spill fuel on your clothing, change clothingimmediately.• If fuel is spilled, do not attempt to start the engineand avoid creating any source of ignition untilfuel vapors have dissipated.• To help prevent fires: keep product free of grass,leaves, or other debris build up; clean up oil orfuel spillage and remove any fuel soaked debris;allow product to cool before storing.• Use extra care in handling gasoline and otherfuels. They are flammable and vapors areexplosive.• Gasoline and gasoline fumes are poisonousand very flammable. Be careful with gasoline toprevent injury or fire.• Let the engine become cool before you refuel.• Do not fill fuel near sparks or naked flames.• If there are leaks in the fuel system, do not startthe engine until the leaks are repaired.• Do not fill above recommended fuel level. Theheat from the engine and the sun makes the fuelexpand and the fuel overflows if the tank is filledtoo much.• Store the product and fuel in such a way thatthere is no risk that fuel leaks or fumes cancause damage.Transport safety• Use an approved transport vehicle fortransportation of the product.• The product is heavy and can cause crushinjuries. Be careful when you load it onto or offa vehicle or trailer.• A markets national or local regulations can setlimit to the transportation of the product.• The operator of the transport vehicle isresponsible to attach the product safely duringtransport. Refer toTransportation on page 26.Hauling• Use full width ramps for loading and unloading aproduct for transport.Tow safety• Follow the manufacturer’s recommendation forweight limits for towed equipment and towing onslopes.• Only use tow equipment approved byHusqvarna.• Use the tow bar to attach the equipment.• Make sure that no other persons are near theproduct when you tow equipment.• Do not let children or others in or on the towedequipment.• Do not tow on slopes or rough ground. Theweight of the towed equipment can cause lossof traction and loss of control.Battery safetyWARNING: A damaged battery cancause an explosion and cause injury.If the battery has a deformation oris damaged, speak to an approvedHusqvarna service agent.WARNING: Read the warninginstructions that follow before you usethe product.• Use protective glasses when you are nearbatteries.• Do not wear watches, jewelry or other metalobjects near the battery.• Keep the battery out of reach for children.• Charge the battery in a space with good airflow.• Keep flammable materials at a minimumclearance of 1 m when you charge the battery.• Discard replaced batteries.
