• Do not operate this machine on publicroadways.• Check and abide by local traffic regulationsbefore transporting the machine on roads.• Do not tow this machine, it may cause damageto the drive system.• Do not tow trailers, etc. with this mower. Theymay jackknife or overturn, causing damage tothe mower and possible serious injury to theoperator.• Load the unit onto truck or trailer by driving upramps of suitable strength using a slow speed.Do not lift! The machine is not intended to belifted by hand.• When loading or unloading this machine, donot use more than the maximum recommendedoperation angle of 10 degrees.IMPORTANT INFORMATION The park brakeis not sufficient to lock the machine in placeduring transport. Ensure that the machine iswell fastened to the transport vehicle. Alwaysreverse the machine onto the transport vehicleto avoid tipping it over.• Stop to inspect the equipment if you run over orinto anything. If necessary, make repairs beforestarting.• Do not make adjustments or repairs with theengine running.• The blades are sharp and can cause cuts andgashes. Wrap blades or use protective gloveswhen handling them.• Check the park brake’s functionality regularly.Adjust and service as necessary.• Do not work with the starter circuit if there isspilled fuel.• Make sure that the fuel filler cap is mountedtightly and no flammable substances are kept inan open vessel.• Sparking can occur when working with thebattery and the heavy cables of the startercircuit. This can cause battery explosion, fireor eye injury. Sparking will not occur after thegrounding cable (normally negative, black) isremoved from the battery.• Disconnect the grounding cable from the batteryfirst and reconnect it last.• Do not make a bridge short circuit across thestarter relay to run the starter.• Be very careful when handling battery acid.Acid on skin can cause serious corrosive burns.If you spill battery acid on your skin, rinseimmediately withwater.• Acid in the eyes cancause blindness,contact a doctorimmediately.• Be careful whenservicing the battery.Explosive gasesform in the battery. Do not perform maintenanceon the battery when smoking or near openflames or sparks. The battery can explode andcause serious injury or damage.• The machine is tested and approved onlywith the equipment originally provided orrecommended by the manufacturer. Only useapproved repair parts for the machine.• The mulch blades must only be used in familiarareas when higher quality mowing is desired.• Regularly clean the deck and the underside ofthe deck. Avoid spraying engine and electricalcomponents with water.Transport• The machine isheavy and cancause seriouscrushing injuries.Be extra cautiouswhen it is loaded onor unloaded from avehicle or trailer.• Use full width ramps for loading machine into atrailer or truck.• Use an approved trailer to transport themachine. Operate the park brake by securingthe steering controls in the outboard positionwith elastic or ratchet straps. Turn off the fuelsupply. Fasten the machine down with approveddevices such as bands, chains or straps.• Both front and rear tie down straps must beused and directed down and out from themachine.WARNING! Use extreme caution whenloading the machine into a truck or trailer usingramps. There is the possibility of serious injuryor death if the machine falls off the ramps.10SAFETY
