General Operation• Read, understand, andfollow all instructions onthe machine and in themanual before starting.• It is recommended thatsomeone be aware thatyou are mowing and canprovide help in case ofinjury or accident.• Anyone who operates,maintains, and/or services this machine must first read andunderstand this Operator Manual. Local laws may regulatethe age of the user. The owner is responsible for training theusers of this equipment.• The owner and operator of this equipment can preventaccidents and is responsible for accidents or injuriesoccurring to themselves, other people and/or property.• Do not put hands or feet near rotating parts or under themachine. Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.• Only allow responsible adults, who are familiar with theinstructions, to operate the machine.• Clear the area of objectssuch as rocks, toys, wire,etc., which could be pickedup and thrown by theblades.• Be sure the area is clearof bystanders beforeoperating. Stop machine ifanyone enters the area.• Do not mow in reverseunless absolutely necessary. Always look down and behindbefore and while backing.• Never direct discharged material toward anyone. Avoiddischarging material against a wall or obstruction. Materialmay ricochet back toward the operator. Stop the bladeswhen crossing gravel surfaces.• Do not operate machine without the entire grass catcher,discharge guard, or other safety devices in place andworking• Slow down before turning.• Never leave a running machine unattended. Always turnoff blades, set park brake, stop engine, and remove keysbefore dismounting.• Never carry passengers. The machine is only intended foruse by one person.• Disengage blades when not mowing. Shut off engine andwait for all parts to come to a complete stop before cleaningthe machine, removing the grass catcher, or unclogging thedischarge guard.• Operate machine only in daylight or good artificial light.• Do not operate the machine while under the influence ofalcohol or drugs.• Watch for traffic when operating near or crossing roadways.• Use extra care when loading or unloading the machine intoa trailer or truck.WARNING!
