MAINTENANCE AND SERVICECleaningIMPORTANT!Turn off the motor. Disconnect the power cableand place it so that it cannot be connected bymistake. The area around the machine must be free of dirtin order to minimize the risk of slipping.Use suitable personal protective equipment.• When cleaning the machine there is a risk ofgetting dirt and harmful substances in theeyes, for example.• Dirt and harmful substances can be releasedfrom the machine when using high pressureequipment.• High-pressure jetting using water or air canpermeate into the skin and cause seriousinjury. Never aim a high-pressure jet towardsthe skin.Cleaning methodThe cleaning method varies depending on type ofcontaminants and how dirty the machine is. A milddegreasing agent can be used. Avoid skin contact.NB! High-pressure washing and compressed airshould be used with extreme caution, incorrect usecan damage the machine.Bear the following in mind when using high-pressure washing:• High-pressure washing with the wrong nozzle orhigh pressure can damage electrical components, electric cables and hydraulic hoses.• The high pressure jet can damage seals and lead towater and dirt permeating into the machine, result-ing in serious damage.• Stickers can be washed away.• The surface finish can be damaged.Cleaning of componentsThere are a number of components that require spe-cial consideration when cleaning.Hydraulic tankPlace a plastic bag over the tank’s air filter and sealit with a rubber band to avoid water getting into thetank.CoolerAllow the cooler to cool down before cleaning. Usecompressed air to clean the air fins. If necessary, usehigh-pressure washing and degreasing agent. Incor-rect use of high-pressure washing or compressed aircan distort the cooler’s fins and thereby impair thecooling capacity.• Max. pressure 100 Bar.• Spray directly towards the cooler, in parallel withthe fins.• Keep a distance of about 40 cm between thecooler and the nozzle.Electrical componentsClean electric motor, electric cabinet, terminals andother electrical components with a cloth or withcompressed air. Do not spray water at electrical com-ponents. Dry the remote control with a damp cloth.Never use high-pressure washing. Blow clean inter-nally using compressed air. After washing• Lubricate all the machine’s lubrication points.• Blow electrical terminals dry using compressed air.• Exercise caution when the machine is started afterwashing. If any components have been damageddue to moisture, the machine’s movements can bedefective.36 - English
