WARNING: There is always a risk of injurieswhen you do work with products that containmoving parts. Wear protective gloves toprevent body injuries.• Use personal protective equipment. Always weareye protection. Protective equipment such as a dustmask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearingprotection used for appropriate conditions will reducepersonal injuries.• Keep children and bystanders away while operatinga power tool. Distractions can cause you to losecontrol.• Remove all unwanted materials from the work areaand keep it good illuminated before you start. If theareas are not cleaned and not illuminated there aremore risks of accidents.• Do not operate power tools in explosiveatmospheres, such as flammable liquids, gases ordust. Power tools can make sparks which can setfire to the dust or fumes.• Sudden appearance of persons and animals canmake you decrease in control of the product.Because of this, always concentrate and focus onthe task.• Do not use the product in bad weather, such as fog,rain, strong winds, intense cold and equivalentconditions. Dangerous conditions, such as slipperysurfaces, can occur because of bad weather.• Examine the work are before you use the product.Look out for obstacles with risk of sudden andharmful movement. Make sure that no material canbecome loose and fall or cause injury duringoperation.• Always examine the rear side of the surface wherethe drill bit will go through the surface. Make the areasafe and put a mark that shows the work area. Makesure that no injury can occur to persons or materialdamaged.• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and usecommon sense when operating a power tool. Do notuse a power tool while you are tired or under theinfluence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A momentof inattention while operating power tools may resultin serious personal injury.• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is inthe OFF-position before connecting to power sourceand/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.Carrying power tools with your finger on the switchor energising power tools that have the switch oninvites accidents• The product can cause objects to eject, which cancause injury to the operator. Remove the adjustingkey and wrench before you start the product.• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use oftools allow you to become complacent and ignoretool safety principles. A careless action can causesevere injury within a fraction of a second.• Make sure that all operators, that use the product,have read and understood the contents of theoperators manual.• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing orjewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away frommoving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long haircan be caught in moving parts. .• Dangerous accidents can occur if the concrete corestay in the drill bit when you pull out the drill motorfrom the floor or wall.• Stay at a distance from the drill bit when the motor isrunning.• Make sure that no pipes or electrical cables are putin the area where the hole will be made.• Do not go away from the product when the motor isrunning.• Do not overreach. Keep correct foothold and balanceat all times. This enables better control of the powertool in unexpected situations.• Make sure that there is always one more personclose at hand when you use the product. If anaccident occurs, you can receive help whennecessary.• Do not use a product with defective safetyequipment.• Do the safety checks, maintenance and service asgiven in this manual. Some maintenance and servicemeasures must only be done by approved serviceagents. See the sectionSafety devices on theproduct on page 5• Inspection and/or maintenance must be done withthe motor stopped and the plug disconnected fromthe power outlet.• Do not use a product that has been changed from itsfactory specification.• Disconnect the plug from the power source and/orremove the battery pack, if detachable, from thepower tool before making any adjustments, changingaccessories, or storing power tools. Such preventivesafety measures reduce the risk of starting thepower tool accidentally.• Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean andfree from oil and grease. Slippery handles andgrasping surfaces do not allow.• Do not overload the product. If you overload theproduct, it can be damaged.• Keep all parts in good condition and make sure thatall fixtures are correctly tightened.Personal protective equipmentWARNING: Read the warning instructionsthat follow before you use the product.• Always use correct personal protective equipmentwhen you operate the product.
