Power switchThe power switch is used to start and stop the product.To do a check of the power switch1. Connect the power plug of the product to a poweroutlet.2. Push the power switch to start the product.3. Many accidents are causedby poorly maintained power tools.• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges areless likely to bind and are easier to control.• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repairperson using only identical replacement parts. Read the operator's manual carefully and make surethat you understand the instructions.2. Do the daily maintenance. Refer toMaintenanceschedule on page 18.3. Make sure that the nominal voltage and current inthe power outlet is the same as the voltage andcurrent of the product.4. Make sure that the PRCD is started. Refer toPRCDon page 9 andTo examine the PRCD on page 9.5. Make sure that the work area is clean and bright.6. Use personal protective equipment. Refer toPersonal protective equipment on page 8.7. Make sure that the product is installed correctly. Thedrill bit must be attached correctly.8. If you use the product with a drill stand, read theoperator's manual for the drill stand carefully andmake sure that you understand the instructions.Make sure that the product is attached correctly.Refer toTo prepare the product for operation witha drill stand on page 11.9. If you do not use a drill stand, the auxiliary handlemust be connected and fully tightened. Refer toToset the auxiliary handle in an applicable position onpage 12.10. When you operate the product dry, use a dustextractor. Refer toTo prepare the product for drydrilling on page 12.11.
