Do not usethe product in bad weather conditions. Donot touch lightning conductors and metalobjects. Always use the product as given inthis operator’s manual to prevent injury.WARNING: Always use a power supplywith RCD (residual-current device). An RCDdecreases the risk of electrical shock.WARNING: High voltage. There areunprotected parts in the power unit. Alwaysdisconnect the power plug before you openthe door to the electrical box.CAUTION: The power supply fromthe product or generator must be sufficientand constant to make sure that the motoroperates without problems. Incorrect voltagecauses the power consumption and thetemperature of the motor to increase untilthe safety circuit releases. The dimensionof the power cord must agree with nationaland local regulations. The dimension of themains socket must agree with the amperagefor the electrical socket and extension cableof the product.If the power mains has higher systemresistance, short voltage drop can occurwhen the product is started. This caninfluence the operation of other products, forexample flicker on the lights.• Make sure that the power, fuse and mains voltageare the same as the voltage shown on the ratingplate of the product.• Always stop the product before you disconnect thepower plug.• Do not use the product if the power cord or powerplug is damaged. Hand it in to an approved servicecenter for repair. A damaged power cord can causeserious injury or death.• Use the power cord correctly. Do not use the powercord to move, pull or disconnect the product. Pull thepower plug to disconnect the power cord. Do not pullthe power cord.• Do not operate the product in water depths wherethe equipment of the product gets wet. Theequipment can become damaged and the productcan become live and cause injury.• Do not get more moisture into the product thanthe water supplied by the water system. Keep theproduct away from rain. Water that goes into theproduct increases the risk of electrical shock.• Always disconnect the power cord before youconnect or disconnect the connection for the motorcable and the electrical enclosure.Grounded product instructionsWARNING: Incorrect connection canresult in electrical shock. Speak to anapproved electrician if you are not sure ifyour mains outlet is correctly grounded.Do not do modifications to the power plugfrom its factory specification. If the powerplug or power cord is damaged or must bereplaced, speak to your Husqvarna serviceagent. Obey local regulations and laws.If you do not fully understand theinstructions about the grounded product,speak to an approved electrician.Use only grounded outdoor extension cables withgrounding plugs and grounding outlet that accepts theproduct power plug.The product has a grounded power cord and powerplug. Always connect the product to a grounded mainsoutlet. This decreases the risk of electrical shock.Do not use electrical adapters with the product.Extension cables• Use only approved extension cables with sufficientlength.• The rated value on the extension cable must be thesame or higher than given on the rating plate of theproduct.• Use grounded extension cables.• When you operate the product outdoors, usean extension cable that is applicable for outdooroperation. This decreases the risk of electricalshock.• Keep the connection to the extension cable dry andoff the ground.• Keep the extension cable away from heat, oil, sharpedges or moving parts. A damaged cable increasesthe risk of electrical shock.• Make sure that the extension cable is in goodcondition and not damaged.• Do not use the extension cable while it is wound up.This can cause the extension cable to become toohot.• Make sure that the extension cable is behind youand the product when you use the product.
