7 Transportation, storage and disposal7.1 TransportationThe contained lithium-ion-batteries are subject to theDangerous Goods Legislation requirements. Forcommercial transports e.g. by third parties or forwardingagents, special requirement on packaging and labelingmust be observed. Consult an expert for hazardousmaterial for preparation of the item being shipped.Please also observe possibly more detailed nationalregulations.Tape off open contacts and pack up the battery in sucha manner that it cannot move around in the packaging.Always secure the product when transporting it.7.1.1 How to lift and move the robotic lawnmowerTo safely move from or within the working area:1. Press the STOP button to stop the roboticlawnmower. If security is set to the medium or highlevel (seeComplete Operator’s Manual on page 3)the PIN code has to be entered. The PIN codecontains four digits and is selected when you startthe robotic lawnmower for the first time. SeeComplete Operator’s Manual on page 3.2. Set the main switch in position0.105310/315/315X420/430X/440/450X3. Carry the robotic lawnmower by the handle underthe robotic lawnmower with the blade disc awayfrom the body.105 310/315/315X 420/430X440/450XCAUTION: Do not lift the robotic lawnmowerwhen it is parked in the charging station. It candamage the charging station and/or the roboticlawnmower. Press STOP and pull the roboticlawnmower out of the charging station beforelifting it.7.2 Winter storage7.2.1 The robotic lawnmowerThe robotic lawnmower must be cleaned carefully beforeputting it away for the winter. SeeCleaning on page 16.To guarantee battery functionality and service life, it isimportant to charge the robotic lawnmower beforestoring it away for the winter. Place the roboticlawnmower in the charging station with the hatch openuntil the battery icon in the display shows that thebattery is fully charged. Then set the main switch to0.Check the condition of wear items such as blades andbearings in the rear wheel. Rectify if necessary to makesure the robotic lawnmower is in good condition prior tonext season.Store the robotic lawnmower standing on all wheels andplace it in a dry, frost-free environment, preferably in themower’s original packaging. You can also hang therobotic lawnmower on a Husqvarna original wall hanger.Contact your local Husqvarna representative for moreinformation about available wall hangers.CAUTION: The battery must be charged fullybefore winter storage. If the battery is not fullycharged it can be damaged and in certain casesbe rendered useless.7.2.2 The charging stationStore the charging station and power supply indoors.The boundary wire and the guide wire can be left in theground.1. Disconnect the charging station power supply.2. Release the connector lock and pull the connectorout.3. Disconnect the boundary and guide wire contactsfrom the charging station.The ends of the wires should be protected from damp byputting them in a container with grease for instance.If it is not possible to store the charging station indoors,the charging station must be connected to the mains,the boundary wire and the guide wires the entire winter.7.3 Environmental informationThe symbol on the Husqvarna roboticlawnmower indicates that this productcannot be treated as domestic waste. Itshould instead be left at a suitablerecycling centre to recycle its electroniccomponents and batteries.
