• Use a protective helmet where there is a risk offalling objects.• Use approved hearing protection that providesadequate noise reduction. Long-term exposure tonoise can result in permanent hearing impairment.• Use approved eye protection. If you use a visor,you must also use approved protective goggles.Approved protective goggles must comply with theANSI Z87.1 standard in the USA or EN 166 in EUcountries.• Use a visor for face protection. A visor is not enoughfor protection of the eyes.+• Use gloves when necessary, for example when youattach, examine or clean the cutting equipment.• Use sturdy non-slip boots.• Use clothing made of a strong fabric. Always useheavy, long pants and long sleeves. Do not useloose clothing that can catch on twigs and branches.Do not wear jewelry, short pants, sandals or go withbare feet. Press and hold the start/stop button (A).a) The product is on when the display (B) comeson.ABb) The product is off when the display goes off.2. If the warning indicator on the display is on orflashes, refer toTroubleshooting on page 18.To do a check of the power trigger lockoutThe power trigger lockout is designed to preventaccidental operation. When you push the power triggerlockout forward (A) and then press the power triggerlockout against the handle (B), the power trigger (C)is released.
