See the”What is what?” section to locate where this equipment ispositioned on your machine.The life span of the machine can be reduced and the riskof accidents can increase if machine maintenance is notcarried out correctly and if service and/or repairs are notcarried out professionally. If you need further informationplease contact your nearest service workshop.Throttle lockoutThe throttle lockout is designed to prevent accidentaloperation of the throttle control. When you press the lock(A) (i.e. when you grasp the handle) it releases the throttlecontrol (B). When you release the handle the throttlecontrol and the throttle lockout both move back to theiroriginal positions. This movement is controlled by twoindependent return springs. This arrangement means thatthe throttle control is automatically locked at the idlesetting.Make sure the throttle control is locked at the idle settingwhen the throttle lockout is released.Press the throttle lockout and make sure it returns to itsoriginal position when you release it.Check that the throttle control and throttle lockout movefreely and that the return springs work properly.See instructions under the heading Start. Start the hedgetrimmer and apply full throttle. Release the throttle triggerand check that the blades stop and remain stationary. Ifthe blades move when the throttle trigger is in the idleposition then the carburettor idle setting must be adjusted.See instructions under the heading Maintenance.IMPORTANT!All servicing and repair work on the machine requiresspecial training. This is especially true of the machine′ssafety equipment. If your machine fails any of thechecks described below you must contact your serviceagent.
