GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS12 – EnglishTrimmer head• Only use the recommended trimmer heads andtrimmer lines. These have been tested by themanufacturer to suit a particular motor size. This isespecially important when a fully automatic trimmerhead is used. Only use the recommended cuttingattachment. See the chapter on Technical data.• Smaller machines generally require small trimmerheads and vice versa. This is because when clearingusing a cord the engine must throw out the cordradially from the trimmer head and overcome theresistance of the grass being cleared.• The length of the cord is also important. A longer cordrequires greater engine power than a shorter cord ofthe same diameter.• Make sure that the cutter on the trimmer guard isintact. This is used to cut the cord to the correct length.• To increase the life of the cord it can be soaked inwater for a couple of days before use. This will makethe cord tougher so that it lasts longer. Different linelengths can result in unnecessary vibrations. Tap thetrimmer head to get correct lengths on the line.• To increase the life of the line it can be soaked in waterfor a couple of days. This will make the line tougher sothat it lasts longer.! WARNING! Always use recommendedtrimmer line. See technical data. Failureto follow this instruction may causepersonal injury.IMPORTANT!Always ensure the trimmer line is wound tightly andevenly around the drum, otherwise the machine willgenerate harmful vibration.! IMPORTANT! Save all warnings andinstructions for future reference. |
