318502 02 61-02Fuel systemRemove the pump diaphragm to check forwear and damage.Clean or replace the fuel screen.Carefully remove the pump diaphragmand its gasket.Check the diaphragm for wear to the valvefl aps (A). Hold it, for example, up to thelight to discover holes in the material.Clean the fuel screen (B). Remove it forreplacement if necessary using a needle.Check the lever arm and needle valve forwear.Replace damaged parts with new parts.Check the wear to the lever arm partlyby the contact points against the controldiaphragm and partly by the cut-outs forthe needle valve.Also check wear to the tip of the needlevalve and the groove for the lever arm.Replace damaged parts with new parts.Replace the needle valve’s seat. Press out the needle valve’s seat forreplacement. Use a suitable punchØ 4.5 mm.NOTE!Replace the seat, needle valve andlever arm at the same time.The needle valve’s seat should bepressed in level with the carburettorhousing. Use a vice with soft jawguards to avoid damage to theneedle valve’s seat.Check the position of the lever arm. Assemble the parts in the reverse order asset out for dismantling.Check that the lever arm lies fl ush with thediaphragm housing.Too high setting = too much fuel.Too low setting = too little fuel.
