Note: Refer to the battery and battery charger manualsfor more information.To connect the battery to the productWARNING: Only use the initial Husqvarnabattery for the product.1. Fully charge the battery.2. Push the battery into the battery holder of theproduct. The battery locks into position when youhear a click. (Fig. 39)CAUTION: If the battery does not moveeasily into the battery holder, the batteryis not installed correctly. This can causedamage to the product.To start the product1. Push and hold the start/stop button until the greenLED comes on. (Fig. 40)2. Push the power trigger lockout and the powertrigger. The cutting equipment starts to rotate.To adjust the loop handle andtelescopic shaft1. Loosen the locking handle and adjust the loophandle to a correct position. (Fig. 41)2. Close the locking handle.3. Loosen the lever on the shaft. (Fig. 42)4. Set the necessary length on the shaft.5. Close the lever and tighten the screw.To use the SavE functionThis product has a power saving function, SavE.Note: The SavE function does not decrease the cuttingpower of the product.1. Press the SavE button on the keypad.2. Make sure that the green LED comes on.3. Press the SavE button again to disconnect thefunction. The green LED goes out. (Fig. 43)Automatic shutdown functionThe product has an automatic shutdown function thatstops the product if it is not used. The green LED forstart/stop indication goes off and the product stops after45 seconds.To operate the productTo trim the grass1. Hold the trimmer head immediately above theground at an angle. Do not push the trimmer line intothe grass. (Fig. 44)2. Decrease the length of the trimmer line by 10-12cm / 4-4.75 in.3. Decrease the engine speed to decrease the risk ofdamage to plants.4. Use 80 % throttle when you cut grass near objects.(Fig. 45)To clear grass1. Keep the trimmer head above the ground.2. Tilt the trimmer head.3. Cut with the end of the trimmer line around objects inthe work area.CAUTION: Cut grass. Other objects thatare hit by the trimmer line, increases thewear on the trimmer line.4. Use 80% speed when you cut and clear vegetation.This decreases the wear on the trimmer head andtrimmer line.To cut the grass1. Make sure that the trimmer line is parallel to theground when you cut the grass. (Fig. 46)2. Do not push the trimmer head to the ground. Thiscan cause damage to the product.3. Move the product from side to side when you cutgrass. Use full speed. (Fig. 47)To sweep the grassThe airflow from the rotating trimmer line can be used toremove cut grass from an area.1. Hold the trimmer head and the trimmer line parallelto the ground and above the ground.2. Apply full throttle.3. Move the trimmer head from side to side and sweepthe grass.WARNING: Clean the trimmer head covereach time you assemble new trimmer line toprevent unbalance and vibrations in thehandles.
