4. Push the V-belts with your tumb to examine thetension. If you can push the V-belts a distance of10–15 mm/0.4–0.6 in. (A), the tension is correct.A5. If the V-belts tension is not sufficient, increase thedistance between the motor and the bearing.6. Install the V-belt cover.To replace the V-beltWARNING: Only remove the V-belt cover when the power supply isdisconnected and the blastmotor has fullystopped.WARNING: Do not operate the productwithout the V-belt cover installed.1. Remove the V-belt cover. Refer toTo do a check ofthe V-belt tension on page 24.2. Reduce the distance between the blastmotor and thebearing to release the tension of the V-belt.3. Remove the old V-belt and install the new V-belt.4. Increase the distance between the blastmotor andthe bearing to apply tension to the V-belt. Refer toTo do a check of the V-belt tension on page 24.5. Attach the V-belt cover.To do a check of the chain tension ofthe drive systemWARNING: Do not operate the productwithout the chain cover installed.1. Stop the product. Refer toTo stop the product onpage 21.2. Remove the chain cover.3. Push the chain to examine the tension. If you canpush the chain a distance of 5 mm/0.2 in., thetension is correct.4.
