Changes in operation mayindicate a need for maintenance or corrective action before more serious problemsdevelop. This section will give a general overview of typical daily operation.NOTE:Refer to the specific technical manual of the System device to be operated, fordetailed information.3.5.1 Daily Pre-Operational CheckoutBefore normal daily turn-on, review the following areas of the transmitter;a. Check the transmitter maintenance log to make sure that maintenance performedon the transmitter, or any abnormal conditions, do not restrict the operation of thetransmitter.b. Ensure the transmitter RF output is connected to the proper load or antenna.c. Check the User Interface panel on the front of the transmitter for any abnormalindications.NOTE:A reading is considered normal if it is within ±5% of its stated value.When the preoperational checkout has been performed and no problems are present, thetransmitter is ready to turn on.3.5.2 Transmitter Turn-OnSTEP 1 If necessary, turn on AC mains supply to the transmitterSTEP 2 If necessary, turn on ZHD+ rear upper sidewall circuit breakerSTEP 3 If necessary, turn on any Circuit Breakers, On/Off or Power switches onany remaining system device required for normal broadcast transmissionSTEP 4 Press HIGH Power button on (each) transmitterSTEP 5 Allow 5 seconds for HDx-FM exciter to normal state for FM operation.Allow 30 seconds for HDx-FM exciter to normal state for any HDoperation.
