INSTRUCTIONS FOR ULTRAWELD® GROUNDING CONNECTIONS - CABLE TO WEB OF RAIL34-5936-48RMVRB OR RMVLB1. Place sleeve on the end of the cableallowing cable to extend past end ofsleeve 1/8" and place into the hammer die.2. Strike the lid of the hammer die with ahammer to form the end of the cable.3. Insert formed end of the cable into themold, making sure the end of the cable isto the center of the tap hole.4. Follow instruction on reverse side of thissheet for welding instructions.HAMMER DIERMVR OR RMVL & RMVH1. For RMVR OR RMVL, insert end of thecable into the mold making sure the endof the cable is to the center of the tap hole.For RMVH, place cable into mold. Donot cut cable on RMVH molds.2. Follow instruction on reverse side of thissheet for welding instructions. To preventleakage of molten metal, use packingmaterial around cable opening(s) in mold.Caution: Do not allow packing material toget into weld cavity, as this will causepoor welds and spewing of weld metal.RMVR OR RMVL RMVHRevised 1/11/05 |
