The resistive load must not exceed3680 watts (NI) @ 230 VAC (16 A).Installation GuidelinesT u rn off power to the heating system at the main power pa ne lto avoid e le c trical shoc k. Installa tion s h o u ld be ca r rie d out bya n elec tr ic ia n.All work must conform to the most recent country’ s regu la-tions for electrical inst allations an d wiring.Th is thermost at should be connected on a circuit equ ippedwith a fuse or a circuit breaker . It must be installed on a certi-fied el ectrical box.Fo r a new inst alla tion, choo se a lo ca tion about 1.5 m (5 ft.)above the floor.The thermost at must be installed facing the heating system.T he thermostat must be installed on an inside wall.Avoid locations where there are air dra fts (top of stairca se, airoutlet), dead air spo ts (b ehind a door), d irect sunl ight or con-cealed chimne ys or stove pipe s.Remove the scre w holding the con-trol module to the power base.Note that the scre w can not becompletely re moved.If yo u have a wall plate : Before makingthe co nnections, make sure that the basecovers t he ele ctrical bo x entirely. If n ot,inse rt the cover pl ate on rear of the base.NOTE: T he cover plate can be us ed to coverthe pla te for aesthetics.Connect the wires:• Power :Terminals 1 and 5• Lo ad :Terminals 2 and 4• F loo r sensor :Terminals 6 and 7(no pola rity needsto be respected )Do n ot pla ce the floor sensordirectly next to an element butrather, for maximumperformance, the floor sensor sh ould be ce ntered be tween the wire sin the mat (80°C max.). The tem pera ture sensor wire ca nnot la yacross any heater wires.If the lo ad is driven thro ugh acontactor, a snubber must be installedat the con tactor’s co il termina l.
