9TroubleshootingPROBLEMOven will not heat.Moisture forms oninside of oven doorwhen toasting.An odor and smoke comesfrom oven.Indicator Light stays on.Some foods burn andsome are not done.PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION• Check to make sure electrical outlet is working and the oven is plugged in. Turn TemperatureKnob to 350°F (180ºC). The Indicator Light should now be lit.• Make sure Mode Selector is set to OVEN.• This is normal when toasting in a toaster oven. Moisture is slower to escape from toaster oventhan from a toaster. The amount of moisture will differ between fresh bread, bagels, and frozenpastries.• Smoke and odor is normal during the first use of most heating appliances. This will not be presentafter the initial heating period.• Turn Temperature Control Knob to OFF. If light stays on, unplug unit and call our toll-freecustomer service number for information on examination, repair or electrical or mechanicaladjustment. Do not continue to use your toaster oven.• The oven indicator will be illuminated during TOASTING if the Oven Temperature Knob is NOTset to the OFF position.• Adjust oven temperature or cooking time for best results with your recipes.840163301 nv03.qxd 11/7/07 1:44 PM Page 9
