To use,TURN MIXEROFF, then setthe mixer on theedge of the bowl.CAUTION:• Never use Bowl Rest when mixer is on.• Do not use Bowl Rest on small(11⁄2 quart) mixing bowls or plasticmixing bowls.Shift and Stir™ Bowl LeverUse the lever to move the turntable.This allows you to position the beatersnear the edge of the bowl or in thecenter.Mixing Shield1. To attach: Place small tabs on themixing shieldinto grooves onside of mixer.Push theshield backonto the mixer.The mixingshield will snapinto place inthe groove around the mixer.2. Now insert the beaters or otherattachments and use the mixeras you normally would.3. To remove: Turn mixer off andunplug. Eject beaters or otherattachments.4. Grasp mixing shield in one hand,while holdingmixer in otherhand. Pullshield straightout, then up,to remove.5. Wash mixing shield in hot, soapywater. Rinse and dry.Mixer Lockdown ButtonUse this feature to lock the mixer inthe “down” position when using onthe stand.PowerBurstUsing Your Mixer1. Make sure mixer is unplugged andspeed control is set on OFF. Insertbeaters. Use as hand mixer orassemble on stand.2. Plug mixer into electrical outlet.3. Move the speed control to desiredspeed, starting at 1 and increasingto a higher speed as necessary.4. If using as a stand mixer do notleave mixer unattended.
