21OPERATION MANUALTABLE LEVEL ADJUSTMENTThe outfeed and infeed tables of the thicknesserwere set level before the machine left the factory.However after shipping or prolong use the tablesmay need to be adjusted.(Fig. 5.7)To adjust the table:1. Disconnect the machine from the power2. Place a straight edge across the tables.3. If the table needs to be adjusted, loosen thethree screws “D” on the side of the table andadjust as required. If more adjustment isrequired then the table leveling screw can beadjusted by loosening the lock nut and adjustthe bolt accordingly4. Tighten the lock nut and recheck the levelFig. 5.7tabLe LeveLing screWDTHICKNESS SCALE ADJUSTMENTThe scale, located on the right hand side of the thick-nesser, shows the thickness of the finished work-piece. (Fig. 5.8)To make sure the scale is set correctly, run a pieceof timber through the thicknesser and measure thefinished size of the timber. If the measurment on thescale is not the same as the timbers thickness, loos-en the two round head screws (A) holding the scaleindicator (B) and adjust the thickness indicator to thecorrect setting.Make sure to re-tighten the two screws once theadjustment is complete.
