6Inserting the Memory CardYou can use SD/SDHC Card with this digital camera. The memory card slot is locatedbeneath the battery cover, adjacent to the battery compartment.Open the battery cover.Slide the battery cover in thedirection indicated by thearrow.Insert the card.Insert the card with the labelfacing up and the arrowpointing in.To remove the card, gently press the edge of the card to release it.Close the battery cover.Do not touch the connection terminals on the back side of the card.Not all cards may be compatible with your camera. When purchasing a card,please check the card's specifications and take the camera with you.About Camera MemoryThis camera is equipped with internal memory. If the memory card is not inserted in thecamera, all images and movie clips recorded by the camera will be stored in the internalmemory. If the memory card is inserted, images and movie clips are stored on thememory card.DCF ProtocolThe DCF protocol defines the format for image file data as well as the directory structurefor the memory card.
