Accessing WLAN Software andDocumentationHP provides wireless local area network (WLAN) software withall notebooks that feature an integrated WLAN device. If yourcomputer is running:■ Microsoft Windows® XP—The native operating systemsupports basic WLAN configuration. However, you mustinstall the HP WLAN software if you plan to use Cisco ClientExtensions.■ Microsoft Windows 2000—The native operating system doesnot support WLAN configuration. To use your integratedWLAN device, you must install the HP WLAN software.The procedures for installing the WLAN software and accessingthe WLAN software documentation have changed since thepublication of your model-specific documentation. To accessWLAN software and documentation, follow the instructions onthis card rather than the instructions in your model-specific guides.Identifying a WLAN DeviceTo install HP WLAN software for an integrated WLAN device,you need to know the name of the integrated WLAN device. Toidentify any integrated WLAN device on your computer:
