Upon request,you must provide this information to your telephone company.Ringer Equivalence Number (REN)The REN is useful to determine the quantity of devices you mayconnect to your telephone line and still have all the devices ringwhen your telephone number is called. In most (but not all)areas, the sum of the RENs of all devices connected to one lineshould not exceed five (5.0). To find out the number of devicesyou may connect to your telephone line as determined by theREN, you should contact your local telephone company todetermine the maximum REN for your calling area.The REN for the modem contained in this product does notexceed 1.0.An FCC Compliant 6-position modular plug is provided withthis equipment. This equipment is designed to be connected tothe telephone network or premises wiring using a compatible6-position modular jack that is FCC Part 68 Compliant.If your telephone equipment causes harm to the telephonenetwork, the telephone company may discontinue your servicetemporarily.
