Quick Start Guide 17BasicsNumeric keysWhen the Num Lock LED (light-emitting diode)on the keyboard is on, the numeric keys are thenumber keys and arithmetic functions found on abasic calculator. When the Num Lock LED on thekeyboard is off, the numeric keys are directionalkeys used during games or to move the cursor.Press theNum Lock key to lock and unlock thenumeric key functions.Special buttonsThe special buttons are at the top of thekeyboard. (Some models have some of thesespecial buttons on the left side of the main keys.)These buttons operate a CD-ROM or DVD-ROMplayer, connect you to the Internet, or providequick access to specific functions.
