With specific regard to thelaser, the equipment complies with laser product performance standards set bygovernment agencies as a Class 1 laser product. The product does not emit hazardouslight; the beam is totally enclosed during all modes of customer operation andmaintenance.Laser Safety WarningsWARNING: To reduce the risk of exposure to hazardous radiation:• Do not try to open the laser device enclosure. There are no user-serviceablecomponents inside.• Do not operate controls, make adjustments, or perform procedures to the laserdevice other than those specified herein.• Allow only HP authorized service technicians to repair the laser device.Compliance with CDRH RegulationsThe Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) of the U.S. Food and DrugAdministration implemented regulations for laser products on August 2, 1976.
